Work Experience is a compulsory component of the Bachelor of Engineering with Honours BE(Hons) and it provides an opportunity for students to gain valuable work experience and employers to benefit from a short term placement.

800 hours (100 days) of approved work experience are completed in an engineering environment. The work is normally completed in two periods of about 400 hours preferably with two different employers.

Normally students complete this in the summer breaks after their second and third years of study, but other arrangements are possible.
