Professor Brian Moloughney

Biography

Brian is Professor of Chinese History at the Department of History & Art History, University of Otago, and is an Associate Director of New Zealand Contemporary China Research Centre. Previously he served as Head of the School of Languages and Cultures at VUW, and from 2010 until 2015 he was Pro-Vice-Chancellor Humanities at the University of Otago. He has been Editor of the New Zealand Journal of Asian Studies and President of the New Zealand Asian Studies Association.
