H.E. Wang Lutong

Biography

Mr. Wang Lutong starts the tenure as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to New Zealand, the Cook Islands and Niue since 2013. He worked as the staff member and Attach é at the Information Department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 1992 to 1996. From 1996 to 2000, he served as Attach é and Third Secretary at the Chinese Embassy in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. From 2000 to 2002, he worked at the Information Department of MFA as Third Secretary and Deputy Director. From 2002 to 2003, he worked at the Department of West Europe Affairs of MFA as Second Secretary and Director. From 2003 to 2005, he worked at the General Office of MFA as First Secretary and Counsellor. From 2005 to 2013, he worked successively as Counsellor and Director, Associate Counsel and Counsel at the Office of Foreign Affairs Leading Group, CPC Central Committee.
