The New Zealand Contemporary China Research (NZCCRC) hosted the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS) for a roundtable on Monday 3rd of December at Victoria University of Wellington. The SASS delegation led by former Vice President of SASS Professor Zuo Xuejin was joined by colleagues from the Institute of Economics Professors Shen Kaiyan and Wang Hongxia.

The roundtable provided an opportunity for experts to share views on a range of issues relevant to both New Zealand and China. Topics included the economic outlook for China, China's role in the International Economy and New Zealand-China relations. The dialogue brought valuable insights and both delegations committed to exploring areas for further cooperation moving forward.
