Inaugural NZ-RED Workshop: 2-3 December 2010
The NZ-RED project is being launched with a two-day workshop on the occasion of the visit of the UK-RED team and the official hand-over of the Reading Experience Database project software. We are bringing together various eResearch experts and subject specialists to help share resources and build project capability. We are delighted to have Dr Bethany Nowviskie, Director of Digital Research and Scholarship, at the the University of Virginia Library and Dr Rob Nelson, Associate Professor History, from the University of Windsor joining us around the table. Professor Jonathan Vance, Canada Research Chair in Conflict and Culture, from the University of Western Ontario will be joining us via video-link. We are grateful to KAREN [Kiwi Advanced Research & Education Network], REAANZ [Research and Education Advanced Network New Zealand Ltd] and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Victoria University of Wellington for sponsoring this event.
