Unleash the power of poetry through lead, ink and paper. Come for two hours, be converted for life; National Poetry Day is your opportunity to taste the letterpress revival for free at Wai-te-ata Press. Sign up for one of three timeslots throughout the day. Bring a line of poetry or make up your own on the spot to typeset and handprint a collaborative ‘found’ poem. Garamond, Rockwell, Univers… pick your poison from our historic metal and wood type collection. Newbies and seasoned enthusiasts welcome. Walk away with a copy of your creation to help keep letterpress alive.
