David Geary grew up in the Manawatu and studied at Victoria University and the New Zealand Drama School. He now divides his time between the parallel universes of Vancouver Island in Canada and the North Island of New Zealand.
He is the author of numerous successful plays, including Lovelock’s Dream Run and Pack of Girls, and is also well known as an actor. His short stories have been published in the Listener, Sport and The Picnic Virgin. A Man of the People (June 2003) is his first book of fiction.
David was back at Victoria University during 2008 as Writer in Residence.
