Introduction
John Davies joined the Department of Business Administration, VUW, in 1980, following prior work at the Welsh Regional Management Centre, now the University of Glamorgan; in local government and as an operational researcher in the cable industry. He served a five year term as Chairman of the Management Group in the nineties, and now returns and has served as Head of VMS for NZ's leading research based Management School from 2005 to February 2009.
His outside interests revolve around sport, visiting the theatre and walking on the beach. He is a member of the Rugby Board of the Wellington Rugby Football Union, and a past President of both the WRFU and of the Poneke Football Club, Wellington's leading multi-cultural sports club.
