The IRC has established three important and influential publications.

The annual Employment Agreements: Bargaining Trends and Employment Law Update is published in conjunction with our annual seminar series held around the country in July/August. Drawing on data from the IRC’s Employment Agreements database, the update book provides a comprehensive overview of bargaining and case law developments over the previous 12 months.

The Employment Agreement is published quarterly and keeps you abreast of the latest developments in employment law and industrial relations in New Zealand.  The Employment Agreement is intended to complement the Employment Agreements Update book by providing regular updates on bargaining issues and the latest employment-related decisions of the Courts. Each issue contains valuable information for New Zealand’s employers, union officials, human resource managers, OSH and legal professionals, and government policymakers. 

A subscription to The Employment Agreement includes the annual Employment Agreements: Bargaining Trends and Employment Law Update book.

To subscribe for the 2012 year, complete the attached application form and return it to the Industrial Relations Centre. Our publications will be sent to you as available, with due dates March, June, Sept and Nov/Dec. The subscription rate for 2012 is $225.

Note: Attendees to the 2011 Seminars are automatically enrolled for a subscription.

The Unions & Union Membership in New Zealand: Annual Review contains an analysis of the results of the IRC’s annual survey of registered unions. It is the only comprehensive review of trade union membership published in New Zealand. 

If you wish to purchase the earlier editions of Employment Agreements: Bargaining Trends and Employment Law Update or our Unions & Union Membership in New Zealand: Annual Review for 2008, please indicate this on the application form.  The cost of these publications is $117.50 and $23, respectively.  The Unions & Union Membership in New Zealand: Annual Review for 2009 is expected to be available soon.
