Victoria Management School is committed to developing high quality teaching, research and community engagement that reflects our ideal location at the heart of New Zealand government and business – in Tourism Management, Māori Business, Management Studies and Human Resource Management.
VMS was ranked New Zealand’s leading Management School across the two most recent Performance Based Research Fund exercises and our Faculty, Masters and PhD students generate research that regularly appears in the world’s top academic forums and the local news media.
Our programmes meet the highest global standards and are accredited by leading international agencies, and we promote creative management scholarship: generating knowledge that builds upon our disciplines in new and interesting ways. Our students combine the latest management thinking with other diverse perspectives, and we encourage students from other fields to add our courses to their programmes of study. We have a truly global Faculty and student population and we innovate locally, having developed the world’s first university degrees devoted to Māori Business and New Zealand’s first internationally accredited Tourism Management programme. Our MBA programme MBA@Vic is one of the region’s longest-running and most respected, and we offer Certificate and Diploma programmes as stand-alone qualifications and as ways of stair-casing into our MBA. In addition, we offer a range of executive development programmes through VUW’s Centre for Life-Long Learning and our partnership with Melbourne Business School .
