Overview

If you want a specialist management qualification that builds on your IT experience, you should consider the Master of Information Management (MIM). It is offered in Welington and Auckland.

People who can manage information systems and technology are in worldwide demand in business, industry, government and not-for-profit organisations. That demand will continue for the foreseeable future. The Victoria University of Wellington Master of Information Management programme will prepare you for an advanced career in these exciting fields.

The MIM is specifically designed for professionals seeking advanced careers in the management of information systems. Its goal is to foster development of the deep understanding and rich analytical and decision-making skills that are critical for managers whose roles span the IT/business boundary.

The programme's varied subject options and learning activities are geared to build a broad base of understanding while encouraging personal development and exploration. A postgraduate certificate and diploma provide optional stepping stones towards the degree.

Classes are offered after normal working hours for the convenience of working students. The seminar style of instruction is chosen to suit people who are used to a business environment.

Students interested in this subject should also review the options offered in the Information Studies Programmes.
