CLAS 320/420 Course Information

Background

The Greek Field Trip was established in 2000 to provide an opportunity for the best 20 students at 300 and 400 level to enhance their knowledge of classical antiquity by undertaking 5 weeks study and research on the Greek mainland and Crete.

Selection process

Applications close in February (date TBC). You apply online and submit a Personal Statement about yourself and why you want to go on the trip, including your future aspirations! Students are selected and notified in mid-February.

Costs involved

The cost for the trip will be determined later in the year. A non-refundable deposit is due in April of $1000 with the balance of the trip (around $7000+) due a few months later.

If you are currently studying at another New Zealand University you are welcome to apply for this course. Please email the Classics Programme in the first instance.
