Equipment hire
You can hire sports equipment, lockers and towels at the University's Recreation Centre.
Sports equipment
We have a wide range of sports equipment for hire including:
- volleyballs
- footballs
- rugby and touch balls
- frisbees
- netballs
- sports bibs
- skipping ropes
- table tennis paddles.
Ask at University Recreation reception about hiring sports equipment or phone them on 04 463 6614. You can also add equipment to your venue booking request.
All equipment requires a student or staff ID card in exchange for your item and some have a small hire charge. Some equipment can be pre-booked for use outside of the Recreation Centre.
Lockers
Lockers are available for hire at Kelburn Recreation Centre on a first-in, first-served basis and can be purchased at reception. Padlocks are not supplied but can be purchased at an extra cost at reception.
You can hire a locker for $30 each trimester or $70 for the year.
Towel hire
If you've forgotten your towel or don't want to carry a wet towel around all day, you can hire one at the Recreation Centre for $2.
