Tongan Students’ Association (Stallions)

The purpose of Stallions is to encourage students at Te Herenga Waka to engage in and learn the Tongan culture.

The Victoria University of Wellington Tongan Students' Association (Stallions) has a history that dates back over 30 years.

Stallions is a fāmili outside of your own, and we offer you the opportunity to apply your cultural identity to your studies.

Our vision is "Fekau'aki" (to connect)—Stallions aim to holistically connect to our Identity, Faith, Culture as well as to the wider community.

Stallions also attend Amatakiloa (The Annual National Tongan Tertiary Conference), where we are able to connect with other Tongan students across Aotearoa through academic, cultural, social and sporting activities. Stallions is more than just a performance group, it is a vital platform for Tongan student leadership and voice within the University.
