FAQsWho can use the Victoria Physiotherapy Clinic? The Physiotherapy clinic is primarily for Victoria University students but staff and others are also welcome. Do I need a referral for Physiotherapy? No. You may come to Physiotherapy without seeing your Doctor. However we may ask that you see your Doctor as well in some cases. What about ACC referrals? We are able to complete ACC forms if you have had an accident that has caused your injury. We are unable to complete ACC forms for gradual process conditions such as occupational overuse. If you have any queries please contact us at the clinic. What about time off work? Only a doctor may prescribe time off work or fill in a light duties certificate. What if I just want a massage? Victoria Physiotherapy Clinic is not a massage clinic. We sometimes use massage as part of our treatment for some injuries but our emphasis is on giving you the knowledge and skills to self manage your injury or problem. If you just want a massage you will need to see a massage therapist. |
