Study Skills workshops
Smart Start 2012
You can attend a half-day session to learn about academic skills before lectures start. Topics include tips for successful study, academic expectations, essay writing, reading and notetaking skills. This interactive session is designed to build your confidence, help you meet new people and give you a head start with your studies. Register early to secure a place on the Student Learning Support website. Please arrive early to check in.

Note: We suggest you attend either Smart Start 2012 or the shorter Study Starters sessions (see below), but not both. Halls students have a Study Skills session as part of their Halls Head Start programme.

Get off to a good start by attending a Study Skills Workshop and/or an Essay Writing Workshop.
