Student AllowanceDo you qualify for a Student Allowance?All students under 24, regardless of work history, living at home or away from home, or if they are married with no children, will be assessed on parental income. Students must be enrolled full time. The following StudyLink links will enable you to determine your eligibility and what amount you may receive: Parental Income Calculator Parental Income Test Student Allowance Process Students over 24 studying full time are eligible for an allowance of $190.39 net per week (single, living away from home) or $152.30 net per week (single, living at home). Your eligibility depends on personal income limits. Students living away from home who qualify for an allowance also qualify for a $40 per week accommodation benefit. Rates differ for students with earning partners and/or children. Check this Studylink_section for more information. You can get the student allowance for 200 weeks in a lifetime. Extensions are possible in certain situations. |
