Campus Tours

Visiting us on-campus at Victoria is a fantastic opportunity for students to see exactly where and what they will be studying after secondary school and to encourage them to start planning for their future. 2011 saw a huge increase in the number of school groups visiting Victoria’s campuses and, while we are more than happy to accommodate school groups, this has led to a need to standardise our on-campus visit programmes. We hope this means that we will have the time and resources to welcome even more school groups to Victoria in 2012.

We have split these programmes by Year groups. Below is a list of what we are able to offer for each group:

Year 9-11 On-Campus Visit

A Liaison Officer from the Student Recruitment, Admission and Orientation team will greet you and your students and take you on a guided tour of the Kelburn Campus. Following the tour will be a presentation about University, key information for students planning on studying here and an opportunity for students to get their questions answered. This visit will last 1 hour.

Year 12 On-Campus Visit

A Liaison Officer from the Student Recruitment, Admission and Orientation team will greet you and your group and take you on a guided tour of the Kelburn Campus. Following the tour will be an ‘Introduction to Victoria’ session lasting 30 minutes on study at Victoria, subject and degree information and admission and accommodation details. This visit will last 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Year 13 On-Campus Visit

A Liaison Officer from Student Recruitment, Admission and Orientation team will greet you and your group and take you on a guided tour of the Kelburn Campus. Following the tour will be a ‘Welcome to Victoria’ session lasting 45 minutes about life and study at Victoria, degrees and subjects offered at Victoria and an overview of the accommodation, admission and enrolment process.

Year 13 groups will also have the opportunity to take part in one or two sessions with academic staff or post graduate students tailored to their areas of study and/ or interest. They will also have the opportunity to tour one of our Halls of Residence. These two options are dependent on staff and room availability and can be discussed.

This visit will last between 2 – 3 hours.

Please note: while we will do everything we can to accommodate you and your school group, these visits are subject to availability of Student Recruitment staff, academic staff, as well as rooms in the university.
