Profile
Jenny Neale joined the Health Services Research Centre in 2010. She was the Director of the MA (Applied) in Social Science programme from its inception till its recent closure. Her research interests have had a focus on equity and social justice and have included gender analysis, disability and ageing. Jenny’s most recent research was as a member of an eight country study looking at gender and management in the university sector. She has worked with the Retirement Commission, the Justice Sector Research and Ethics Committee, and the NZ Fire Services Contestable Research Fund Committee. She has expertise in research methods, particularly questionnaire design, and evaluation, and has just completed her term as the President of the Australasian Evaluation Society (AES). Jenny’s teaching of postgraduate and 300 level courses has been on research methods and their application, particularly to policy, and evaluation.
