SCHOOL OF MATHEMATICS, STATISTICS AND OPERATIONS RESEARCH

The School of Mathematics, Statistics and Operations Research is home to mathematics, the world’s oldest continuously-studied academic discipline. All the subjects we teach have an important history and exciting future.

Our students engage with ideas at the frontiers of pure and applied mathematics, logic and stochastic processes, led by the School’s world-class academic staff.

We collaborate widely, partnering with researchers in many disciplines including ecology, geophysics, linguistics, music and psychology.
