Master of Arts (MA)
The School of Information Management offers a Master of Arts (MA) degree in:
- Library and Information Studies
The MA in Library and Information Studies is by thesis (LIBR 591), or LIBR 591 and approved courses worth up to 30 points from the MIS or MIM schedules; the assessment for the course(s) shall not exceed 25% of the total. This degree offers the opportunity for more in-depth research than is possible in the Master of Information Studies Programmes.

To become a candidate for admission, the applicant will normally have a first degree of an acceptable standard. Exceptions to this rule may be made if the applicant has extensive experience or abilities that the School believes can compensate for the absence of these academic qualifications.
