Only 1 percent of business schools hold the 'Triple Crown' of international accreditations.

Victoria Business School is proud of its long tradition of strong links with overseas universities and international academic and professional bodies, and in a natural extension of those relationships continually seeks formal accreditations and certifications from international organisations.

Since the first commerce degrees were offered at Victoria University, a high proportion of our academic staff teaching and researching in business and economics has had experience working overseas. We also continue to attract many international students to our graduate, postgraduate, post-experience and doctoral programmes.

'Triple Crown' accreditation

Victoria Business School is among just 1 percent of business schools worldwide that hold the 'Triple Crown' of international accreditations:

• Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB)
  Victoria Business School is the first in New Zealand to have obtained accreditation from AACSB in both Business and Accounting, and fewer than 2% of business schools worldwide hold this distinguished hallmark of excellence. AACSB was founded in 1916 and is  considered the highest and most reputable standard in business education.
• European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS)
  EQUIS is a leading international system of quality assessment, improvement and accreditation that requires a business school to show a high standard of operation across all their activities including research, executive education and business community outreach. EQUIS also places great importance on internationalisation.
• Association of MBAs (AMBA)
  AMBA accredits postgraduate programmes from the top 1% of business schools in more than 70 countries. Victoria's MBA programme was first accredited by AMBA in 2008; find out more, visit the School of Management accreditation page.

The 'Triple Crown' accreditation held by Victoria Business School is further enhanced by specific programme recognition and accreditations from industry and professional bodies.

Accounting

Our accounting programmes hold accreditations from:

• Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ)
• Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
• CPA Australia
• Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)

Tourism

In 2017, Victoria University's Tourism Management programme (both undergraduate and postgraduate) was re-accredited tedQual Certification (Tourism Education Quality) by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). The PhD programme was tedQual accredited for the first time in 2013 and became one of four Universities in the world with this status. TedQual certification is testimony to the quality and international recognition of the degrees. Information Studies

Information Studies programmes with an ARCR specialisation, which include the Master of Information Studies and the Postgraduate Diploma and Certificate in Information Studies, are recognised by the Records and Information Management Professionals Australasia.

The Library and Information Association of New Zealand (LIANZA) also recognise the Master of Information Studies qualification with a LIBS specialisation.

School of Government

Our Master of Public Management and Master of Public Policy degrees taught by the School of Government gained accreditation in 2017 through the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA) certification standard in public service education.
