MDIA-403 – Mass Media and Popular Culture

This course is an advanced study of a selected form of mass media culture, in the context of the operation of the international culture industries. Aspects to be addressed may include economic production, authorship texts, theories of consumption, the production of norms, issues of globalisation, and celebrity culture. In 2013 the course will focus on media scandals. 100% internal assessment.
