Registration is now open for the

9th International Larval Biology Symposium,

to be held in Wellington, New Zealand

from 23-27 August 2010.

Larval 2010 is hosted by the Victoria University Coastal Ecology Laboratory. The venue for the Forum is Rutherford House, Pipitea Campus, Victoria University of Wellington, Bunny Street, Wellington. Please see our VENUE page for details.

Possible symposium themes include:

  • Effects of climate change and anthropogenic stressors on marine larvae
  • The role of larvae in population connectivity
  • The influence of larval sensory abilities on dispersal
  • Linkages across life history stages
  • The role of larvae in biological invasions
  • Larval genomics and chemical ecology
  • The origins of larvae
  • Methodological innovations in study and culture of larvae

...And of course, we will welcome contributed papers on any aspect of larval biology.

Registration and abstract submission are now open. Early bird registration closes 30 April, 2010; Standard registration (and abstract submission) closes 31 May, 2010.
