A research project, usually in the form of an extended essay of 10,000 words, with regular guidance from a supervisor. Students are expected to show familiarity with the literature in their chosen field, and to write a substantial discussion, engaging with questions relevant to the field and demonstrating independent thought. 100% internal assessment.
Tuition Fees
The topic must be approved prior to the start of the academic year.
Candidates select a topic within one of the areas of staff expertise and are supervised by a nominated member of staff. Students who wish to pursue this option are asked to discuss their interests and research topic with the Honours Coordinator in the first instance.
