School of Accounting and Commercial Law

Education Research Group

The Education Research Group is committed to contributing evidence-based research on the pedagogy of accounting and commercial law education. Pedagogy is the interaction of teaching and learning; that is, the interaction of what teachers and learners actually do. The purpose of the group is to contribute to a qualitative transformation in student experience of their accounting and commercial law tertiary education through adoption of evidence-based teaching and learning practices, not just in our school and faculty at Victoria University, but throughout the tertiary sector internationally. Areas of research interest in the group include researching ways to support students to shift from a surface to deep approach to their learning.
