Climate change

Our experts are piecing together the puzzle of climate change and investigating its environmental, social and economic impact on New Zealand, the wider Asia-Pacific and other parts of the world.

Climate change is the challenge of our time and our researchers are working to provide unbiased scientific information to industry, organisations, policymakers and the public. The study of climate change draws experts from across the University, linking Antarctic scientists and climate researchers with experts in law, architecture and psychology.

Victoria is wholly committed to playing its part in fighting climate change. Our Antarctic Research Centre aims to improve understanding of Antarctic climate history and processes and their influence on the global climate system, and our Climate Change Research Institute is working to provide a better interface between science and policy.
