Masters Part 2 - Thesis

On this page:

To be admitted into a postgraduate degree programme you will usually need to have a very good record of academic achievement at undergraduate and graduate level.  Students who are considering making an application for admission are encouraged but not required to contact possible academic supervisors beforehand and  should also refer to general regulations governing the degree.

The School of Psychology offers admission to selected applicants whose preparation, experience, and interests fit well with the interests and resources in the School.  Admission into a postgraduate programme is not a right or an entitlement.

If you are a NZ citizen or permanent resident, the application process includes a University application form, and a School of Psychology preliminary masters application form.

The School Postgraduate Committee meets three times per year to evaluate applications.  If your application is successful, you will be offered provisional admission to work closely with a specific academic staff member in the School who will supervise your research and professional development.

Masters Application

Applications for admission to undertake a Masters’ thesis will be submitted directly to the School of Psychology.  Masters' application forms are available on the School web site under forms. The Masters Part 2 thesis is worth 120 points.
