The School of Psychology Postgraduate Committee (SoPPGC) is the link between the School of Psychology's prospective and current graduate research students and their supervisors, and the Faculty of Graduate Research, and Faculty of Science. The committee is responsible for decisions about the admission of prospective Masters and PhD research students into the School of Psychology, and for recommendations regarding progression from provisional to full registration for PhD students. The committee monitors students' progress, and provides relevant informal advice to staff and students. The committee oversees new PhD students' orientation to the School, and contributes to the development of the School's graduate research culture (eg, by facilitating the annual PhD conference). The committee maintains the thesis student database and is responsible for the coordination of 6 monthly PhD reports.
