The Alan Robinson Memorial Prize

This Prize in memory of Alan D. Robinson, Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and Reader in Political Science 1961-76, arises from a fund subscribed by students, staff and friends.

• The Alan Robinson Memorial Prize shall be awarded annually to the student who completes an Honours degree in Political Science or International Relations and who, in the opinion of the Head of the School of History, Philosophy, Political Science and International Relations, is the best student of the year.
• The Prize shall be awarded by the Academic Board after receiving a report from the Chairperson of the Programme.
• The Prize, the value of which in any year shall be determined by the Academic Board after consideration of the income from the fund, shall consist of a book or books, bearing a suitable bookplate and approved by the Chairperson of the Department of Politics.
• If in any year the income from the fund or any part thereof is not expended, it may be added to the fund.

The names of the students awarded this Prize shall be inscribed on the Honours Board at the premises of the Political Science & International Relations Programme.
