PHIL 307 – Theories of Existence

A examination of a central topic in metaphysics - the nature of existence. A wide range of authors is studied, including major historical figures, like Kant, and modern philosophers from both the Anglo-American tradition in philosophy and from the continental European tradition, such as Martin Heidegger and Jean-Paul Sartre. 60% internal assessment, 40% examination.
