with Brigadier Neville Reilly ONZM, New Zealand's first Resident Ambassador in Kabul and former defence attaché in Riyadh, will talk on his experiences in the Middle East, Central and South Asia

Bio: Neville Reilly is currently Controller with the Civil Defence Emergency Management Group for Canterbury. After a career in the New Zealand Army he retired in the rank of Brigadier. In 1999 he led the United Nations Mission in East Timor when he had to protect UN staff during post-election disorders. He subsequently led the Provincial Reconstruction Team in the Bamyan Province of Afghanistan. He has served as New Zealand Defence Attaché in both Jakarta, Indonesia, and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and in 2010 was appointed as New Zealand's first Resident Ambassador in Afghanistan.
