Introduction

Eirlys Hunter is a graduate of Victoria's MA in Creative Writing  (1998) and writes for both children and adults.

Her adult fiction includes a novel, Between Black and White, and short stories that have appeared in SPORT, Landfall, Best New Zealand Fiction and various anthologies.

Her books for children include the fantasy trilogy Finn's Quest and a novel set in Wellington, The Quake. She has also written books for younger readers, plays and stories for the School Journal, and educational material for Learning Media.

She has taken many writing workshops for children and adults, and has been a MA supervisor for the IIML, and a mentor and an assessor for both Whitireia and Northtec's writing programmes.
