Poets to the People - featuring Bernadette Hall
Bernadette Hall is one of New Zealand's foremost poets, and Victoria University's 2012 Writer in Residence.This is a last chance for audiences to hear Bernadette read her poetry at the Lembas Cafe before she returns to Canterbury. Musical accompaniment will be provided by Bernard Wells.Bernadette's reading will be preceeded by an open mic session, so come early and bring one poem of your own to read.

Where: Lembas Cafe, 34 Poplar Ave, Raumati South, Ph:04 902 5734

When: 4-6pm, Sunday 27 Nov

Cover charge: $5, including a glass of wine or juice to celebrate Lembas's last poetry reading for 2011.

General Information

The International Institute of Modern Letters (IIML) coordinates several annual literary events, both on campus and in the wider community. These include Writers on Mondays - a free series of lunchtime conversations with local and visiting writers - and the National Schools Writing Festival and Poetry Awards.
