Murray Edridge has been the Chief Executive of Barnardos NZ since November 2003.

Barnardos is a child focused organisation that provides education, care and support services to children and their families. Working under the principle that children need security and the opportunity to develop their potential, Barnardos works within the community to give families access to a broad range of support services. Barnardos is New Zealand's largest childcare and family support service provider, last year working with over 6,700 children and 5,200 parents and families.

Murray had previously held senior roles at Radio New Zealand and the Open Polytechnic. He is a graduate of Victoria University. He is currently a Board member of Workplace Support.
