There are currently five permanent full-time academic staff members in Te Kawa a Māui - School of Māori Studies, two administration staff, and a number of fixed-term teaching staff. The academics are drawn from a number of different disciplines including science (and physics in particular), history, political science, archaeology, Māori performing arts, linguistics and te reo Māori. We have close connections with staff in Te Herenga Waka Marae and the School of English, Film, Theatre, and Media Studies.
