A study of the basic foundations and tenets of European Union law including: the origins of the European Communities; treaties that are the foundation of the Union; the European Parliament, the European Court of Justice, European Commission and other significant institutions; fundamental principles of EU law, including the principles of free movement of persons, capital, and trade, and the protection of basic rights in EU law.
