How the Course Will Help

This course will help you to:

  • interpret and analyse different kinds of workplace interactions
  • evaluate your performance in a range of workplace related situations
  • practise expressing yourself appropriately
  • increasing the richness and accuracy of your English when expressing complex ideas
  • gain work experience and reflect on workplace practices.

A key component of the course is to interpret different types of workplace interactions using authentic data from the Language in the Workplace Project. Roleplays are then used extensively to give you intensive guided practice on appropriate language use and body language. Peer, self and tutor evaluation are crucial components of the course.
