What you can access
General visitor access is provided on campus by CAFENET. Just connect to the cafenet network, open your browser and follow the instructions. You will need to open a cafenet account and will be billed by them.
If you are a visitor that has been invited by a University faculty and you need access to the web, call your university contact who may have a visitor log-on that you can use.
EduRoam Wireless
eduroam Instructions for Visitors to Victoria: The eduroam network is available in many areas of Victoria and uses WPA/WPA2 and AES encryption. It supports the use of PEAP for authentication back to home institutions.
You must configure your outer identity to be the correct form for your home network, like firstname.lastname@homeuni.edu.au. Macintosh users need to set their identity in the advanced network settings.
In order for Windows Mobile to connect to Eduroam at Victoria University, you must download the file below and run it on your mobile to install the necessary configuration. Also, under networks Power Mode, change power settings to best performance. Both of these changes are necessary for Windows Mobile to support PEAP at Victoria University.

IMPORTANT: Victoria does not provide support for configuring of laptops for eduroam visitors. Under eduroam policy, the first point of contact for eduroam issues is the helpdesk of the HOME institution, not the visited (Victoria) one.
