The services provided by Information Technology Services (ITS) to individual Staff, Schools and Central Service Units (CSUs) at Victoria University of Wellington are:
Staff Core Services are the IT services that individual VUW staff are entitled to. The services are enabled on the creation of a staff user account or through request to the ITS Service Desk. Support standards for the Core IT services are detailed in the Core Services, Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Application Delivery Services range from infrastructure hosting through to application support for the management of VUW applications. Access to services is negotiated between the customer and ITS with delivery of the services outlined in an individual Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Procurement Services provide quoting and purchasing services for IT equipment to VUW Schools, CSUs and Researchers. Support standards for Procurement Services are detailed in the Core Services, Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Project Services provides Project Management through to Systems Integration. Access to services is negotiated between the customer and ITS and delivered as part of a formal project.
Audio Visual Services offer audio visual (AV), consulting and specialist AV services in support of VUW teaching and learning requirements.
Image Services offer commercial photographic and digital image related services to the university community and general public.
Research Services provides Researchers with tools to assist in their Research initiatives. The services are provided by the School Of Engineering and Computer Science, Library Services, ITS and other external entities. Each service provider offers varying levels of support for each service.
Capability Services provides training, development support and collaboration, and learning design to enable staff and students to adopt digital technologies for teaching, learning and research. The services are provided by the Learning and Research Technology Team of ITS, CAD and Library Support services. Capability building for eResearch, Digital Teaching and Learning, and Workplace technologies is available.
