Shandon Golf Club
Situated just 15 minutes from downtown Wellington, Shandon Golf Course is a superbly presented challenging 18-hole par 70 course.
At 6150 yards the course is not overly difficult in length but truly challenging in layout.
The club provides complete practice facilities with practice chipping and putting greens, and practice fairways.
The course will test the skill of any golfer without unfairly leaving out the beginner.
Paraparaumu Beach Golf Club
Situated on the Kapiti Coast, a scenic forty five minutes drive from Wellington, Paraparaumu Beach Golf Club enjoys a long held international reputation as the premier links course in New Zealand. The course is one of only two New Zealand courses ranked in the Worlds Top 100 courses, and is rated as the best course in New Zealand.
At over 6600 yards from the championship tees, coupled with fast greens, fierce rough and naturally breezy coastal weather, the par 72 course provides a truly challenging golfing experience.
Paraparaumu Beach Golf Club has been host to the New Zealand Open on many occasions, most recently in 2002 which included Tiger Woods in the field. 2005 US Open Champion, New Zealander Michael Campbell, won the New Zealand Open at Paraparaumu Beach in 2000.
