International Partner Programmes
Victoria offers international programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate level in cooperation with leading partner institutions throughout the world. In many of our undergraduate twinning programmes, credit is awarded for approved local courses thus lessening the time required for the overseas completion of the Victoria degree. These provide opportunities for an international degree that are genuinely cost effective.
Undergraduate twinning and Articulation
Victoria Offers twinning and articulation programmes that range from a 1+3, where the foundation year of study is completed in the home country to a 2+1, where the first two years of a three-year degree are complete in the home country.
Victoria selects its partners from leading institutions in a range of countries. When a student chooses one of our partner institutions in their country, they are provided with information on how the approved courses they will study will give them credit to their degree study in Wellington.
Students can choose either Commerce and Administration or Science to study at our partner institutions.
Victoria University of Wellington Campus in Ho Chi Minh City
In association with the University of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City, Victoria has a campus on Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Students can complete papers towards the Bachelor of Commerce and Administration at the campus before transferring to Victoria to complete the degree programme. English language courses are also available on the campus.
The teaching staff are made up of a combination of Victoria University academic staff, University of Economics academic staff and Victoria University alumni.
International short courses
The International Programmes team also works alongside VUW’s English Language Institute in organising and running short term intercultural/English programmes for students from Japan and Korea. These programmes range between 4 to 18 weeks.
Field trips and excursions are built into the programme to introduce New Zealand’s landscape, culture and heritage. Learning that takes place on the field trips is also integrated into the classroom.
