Volunteer
Help introduce our new international students to Wellington.
Victoria International is looking for a team of volunteers to:
- Develop and lead Wellington city tours or Capital Safaris as we are calling them
- Help at International Orientation
Interested?

Capital Safaris
What do I have to do?
The idea is for small teams of current students (both domestic and international) to work together to plan a tour of Wellington based around a theme, such as visual arts, sports, nature, history and politics. These are examples of themes - if you have an interest in something that Wellington has to offer and want to share this with new students then let us know your idea.
You don't need to have a group of other students you would like to work with. We will put volunteers into teams based around the theme that they are interested in creating a tour for. The structure of the tour is up to your team. You may have a list of places that you want to visit or you may prefer to focus on one event or activity.
When will the tours run?
The tours will run on Saturday 20 February 2010, from approximately 11am - 3 pm.
How much time will it take?
Victoria International staff have experience running events and working with international students, so we will provide some training and guidelines around organising your tour. With the training, tour development and running of the tour, the total time commitment will be approximately 12 hours.

When is international orientation?
International Orientation is from 17 to 19 February 2010. We would roster you onto activities that fit around your other commitments.
How much time will it take?
