Paying your Fees

Students who require a student visa must submit evidence of payment of fees as part of the visa application unless another proof of funds is supplied e.g. a scholarship or a student loan award letter.

Below is our preferred method of payment which is the easiest way to pay your tuition fees and insurance if you are overseas.

Please note: to assist with visa processing requirements it is advisable that students pay their tuition at least 3 months prior to their arrival, as it can take up to 6 weeks for student visas to be processed.

StudentPay: International Funds Transfer

You can pre-pay your tuition fees by making an international transfer directly from your local bank account to a VUW Custom House account. You can also pay for your university insurance at the same time.

The international funds transfer allows you to make payment safely and quickly in your local currency or in a variety of major currencies including AUD, USD, EUR, GBP and JPY. You can also track the progress of your payment online.

  • Simply click on the link below and follow the steps to gain authorisation and the currency exchange rate for the transfer.
  • VUW Custom House account details will appear on the authorisation form which you will need to print and use when processing the payment.
  • If you are able to pay in your local currency, transfer the funds using your internet banking system or alternatively go into your local bank to make this transfer.

or

  • If you are paying in a major currency (that is not your local currency), print the authorisation form and take it to your local bank and the bank will follow the simple instructions on the authorisation form.
