what is orientation?

International orientation is the vital information provided to you by Victoria International to support your academic study, help familiarise you with Wellington and New Zealand and assist you to adjust to the cultural differences you may experience living here.

The international orientation includes presentations by Victoria International staff and other student services; campus tours; a lunchtime expo, opportunities to meet other students and activities to help you feel connected to the University community.  During orientation you will also complete your enrolment and will be told about the procedures and processes for your programme of study by the admissions team, your faculty and enrolments team.

It is compulsory for new international students to attend both international orientation and enrolment unless you are studying Foundation Studies, English Proficiency Programme (EPP), starting your PhD or are one of the special groups who start their courses early in the year.  It is important you keep your international orientation day and the following day free to allow enough time to complete your enrolment.

We look forward to meeting you soon at international orientation.
