How much will studying at Victoria cost?
After you have arrived in New Zealand, the cost of studying at Victoria will be made up of two main expenses, your tuition fees and your living expenses. The Cost Calculator helps estimate these expenses for you. It also allows you to select a currency that you may find more familiar.
Tuition Fees
Tuition fees vary from programme to programme. The Cost Calculator bases all tuition fees on an annual average (unless otherwise indicated) so remember to consider the duration of a programme. More details on tuition fees can be found below.
Living Expenses
To plan for your study in New Zealand, you need to be sure you can cover the costs that you will incur from day to day living. The Cost Calculator gives you an idea of what you can expect to pay to cover some essential living expenses. These costs are estimates only and may vary from person to person.

The fees listed indicate an assessment of the average annual cost for each programme, unless otherwise specified. Course fees may vary between Faculties. Where a degree includes courses from different Faculties, the fees will be calculated accordingly.

Tuition fees are subject change on an annual basis.

In addition to the tuition fees, student levies are due at enrolment. In 2010 these are estimated at $675.

All fees are due for payment on enrolment day unless a prior arrangement has been made e.g. a recognised provider will make payment on your behalf. Enrolment is not complete until all fees are paid. International students may not pay by instalment unless agreed to by Victoria International and the International Fees Coordinator.

Course material fees and costs associated with field trips and thesis publication costs are not included in the estimated tuition fees.
