Accounting offers expertise in all aspects of the subject - from international business and taxation issues, to transparency in government finance. To meet the academic requirements for admission to the NZICA Chartered Accountants College students must complete four years of equivalent full-time study, including the completion of a degree and courses specified by NZICA. To meet the academic requirements for admission to CPA Australia students must complete three years of equivalent full-time study, including the completion of a degree and courses specified by CPA Australia. Victoria offers different pathways for students to meet the both NZICA and CPA Australia requirements.

Art History encourages students to think critically about art. Broad-based and comprehensive information to the history of visual art, from Renaissance and Baroque to Modernism and Postmodernism. Biology combines elements of biotechnology, cell and molecular bioscience, ecology and biodiversity, and marine biology. Students can focus in more depth in one particular area of biological science at the postgraduate level. Cell and Molecular Bioscience and Microbiology concentrate on four areas: biochemistry and molecular biology, the science of living organisms at the molecular level; cell biology, the structure and function of cells in animals, plants, and bacteria; genetics, the structure, function, and regulation of genetic material; and physiology and pharmacology, the integrated function of human organ systems and the effect of drugs.

Biotechnology provides a grounding in biotechnology and its underlying biological and chemical sciences. Offered at the postgraduate level, the focus of conservation and restoration at Victoria is to combine the theoretical and practical elements associated with the restoration of degraded freshwater, terrestrial and marine environments. Earthquakes, mountain building, volcanic eruptions, dinosaurs, climate change, and the origin and evolution of life: all in a day's work for the geologist. Wellington is a natural laboratory for geologists. Students can study tectonic plate shifts in a city that is built between two active faults on a major plate boundary. Italian is designed to give students a broad, supportive introduction to speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the language. Students learn basic grammar, how to hold a conversation, and some simple composition.

Landscape architecture integrates the core professional skills required of a landscape architect. Areas of study include landscape architectural history, materials of landscape design and implementation, landscape management, the legislative context, earth studies and landscape technologies.
