Admissions Requirements
To study at Victoria University you will have an appropriate
academic background and be able to communicate competently in the English
Language.
English Language requirements
Being a competent communicator in the English Language will be an essential
part of you being a successful student at Victoria.
You will need to provide evidence of your English language proficiency.
If your previous studies were undertaken in English, this may be acceptable,
however this still may not guarantee entry to the University without evidence
of an IELTS or TOEFL test score.
Postgraduate requirements:

TOEFL 575 with (preferably) a TWE of 5; or 237 on the computer-based
test; or 90 on the internet-based test with (preferably) a writing score of 20; or

IELTS overall band of 6.5 with no sub-score below 6.0; or
-
CAE grade B / CPE grade C.
Undergraduate requirements:

TOEFL 550; or 213 on the computer-based test; or 80 on the internet-based test; or

IELTS overall band of 6 with no sub-score below 5.5; or
-
CAE grade C / CPE grade C.

If you are sitting the NZ Bursary Examination, you will fulfil the
English requirement by achieving a C grade or above in
one of the following subjects: Accounting, Agricultural Science, Biology,
Classical Studies, Economics, English, Geography, History and History
of Art, Science.
Academic requirements
Admission requirements will differ depending upon the programme you
are applying for and the country where you studied your previous education.
Postgraduate entry requirements:
Academic entry requirements for Victoria University postgraduate courses
vary. You will need to have successfully completed the overseas equivalent
of a New Zealand Bachelors degree from a recognised tertiary institution,
and for some courses, evidence of relevant work/research experience may
also be necessary. Any postgraduate application should include a Research
Proposal or Study Plan.
