Please note: Information on this page relates to the conjoint BCA/BSc in 2010 unless otherwise specified.

Science and commerce form a vital partnership. The close link between scientific research and the marketplace, and the increasing importance of technology in every industry, create a need for graduates with qualifications in both areas.

Managers need to understand the scientific processes involved in their industry, and scientists need business skills to turn their discoveries into commercial products. The conjoint Bachelor of Commerce and Administration (BCA) and Bachelor of Science (BSc) programme produces the versatile graduates needed by today's high-tech industries.

The conjoint BCA/BSc is an accelerated programme that allows the two degrees to be completed in four years of full-time study. The time taken is shorter than that for a double BCA/BSc degree, and requires a good level of academic progress to stay in the programme.

Victoria's conjoint BCA/BSc is a flexible programme. Students choose a mix of subjects which suit their strengths and career aspirations.

Victoria's Science and Commerce and Administration faculties are internationally recognised and have unique links to Wellington's business, science, and government communities.

A conjoint BCA/BSc can lead to graduate study and research in Victoria's Honours and Master's programmes. Depending on subject choice, graduates are prepared for a wide range of specialised fields.
