At Victoria the boundaries between architecture and design are numerous. We enjoy the advantages and synergy of having many related disciplines under one roof.

Victoria’s Faculty of Architecture and Design occupies a central city location that offers world-class exhibition spaces, lecture theatres, workshops, computer labs and design studios. Our location means we are able to easily engage working practitioners in our teaching environment – the highest numbers across all disciplines in the university.

We currently offer programmes to study in Architecture, Building Science, Media Design, Industrial Design, Interior Architecture and Landscape Architecture.

Exploration is an important part of the Faculty’s values and activities. The possibilities of discovery and invention are exciting and vital. Academic staff and senior students are involved in cutting-edge research of building construction and performance, and design with access to facilities that are widely acknowledged as being amongst the best in the Australasian region. We value quality in architecture, design and construction. We focus on research and teaching about the rich body of knowledge in each discipline.
